Rethinking impact, ownership, leadership, and knowledge transfer for responsible business.
At the VHB conference “Responsible Innovation – Business Administration Shaping the Future” (March 18–20), the team of Prof. Dr. Ali Aslan Gümüsay, Monica Nadegger PhD, and Dr. Amyn Vogel contributed a series of independent sessions across different formats, addressing key dimensions of responsible innovation.
The contributions ranged from a discussion on the future of business administration as a discipline to reflections on science communication and knowledge transfer (“Business Research and the Public”). They also included thematic sessions such as “Ownership Reimagined”, exploring alternative ownership models for more inclusive and sustainable value creation, and “Strategic Leadership for Responsible Innovation”, comparing the roles of managers and entrepreneurs. With “From Insight to Impact”, the team introduced a broader perspective on the societal relevance of business research beyond academic metrics, while the WK-ORG session on Care highlighted organizational perspectives on care as an often-overlooked dimension of responsible business.
While these contributions were presented in different contexts and formats, they were united by a shared question: how can business administration evolve to address global challenges and contribute more effectively to shaping economy and society?
